I’m Amishi Desai.

I am a recent graduate from Duke University with a B.S. in Neuroscience, originally from Manhattan, New York. Since high school, I’ve gained extensive experience in cellular and molecular biological research through work at the McGovern Institute for Brain Research at MIT, the Zuckerman Institute at Columbia University, and a four year independent research project with Duke Institute for Brain Sciences. My clinical research experience at NYU Langone, where I focused on re-operative surgery, further broadened my understanding of scientific investigation. Through these experiences, I have developed a strong background in reading and analyzing scientific literature, something I hope to share through BioLinks with high school students with a passion for Biology like myself.
